Partner With Us
During the past few years, Nagenahiru frequently received requests from young people (18-25 yrs.) who wish to spend some months in the Island nation of Sri Lanka with us, for an internship or volunteer program in a reliable environmental initiative which is willing to host them and see an added value and benefit from this exchange. We usually have to tell them, that there is no such program we support.
To provide a positive answer to these interested youth in the year 2022, Nagenahiru decided to initiate its volunteer placement wing of the Nagenahiru Foundation as “Nagenahiru Volunteerss” to serve the young generation throughout the world in the field of volunteer assignments. Nagenahiru strongly believes that this new initiative will be able to serve the youth coming from different corners of the world to get experience in nature conservation as well as understanding the social, economic and cultural values of the island nation of Sri Lanka.
Our Strategy
We plan to identify volunteers through well-recognized volunteer placement organizations throughout the world. As mentioned in “our facilities” we provide all project related transport in air- conditioned vehicles and stay in village houses with modern facilities.
Our organization closely supervises and coordinates with the volunteers during their stay in Sri Lanka. An important element of our volunteer placement is the provision of the island-wide tour to visit prominent natural and cultural heritage sites in Sri Lanka organized by the Nagenahiru Volunteerss including the provision of facilities such as accommodation and meals during the tour. It’s our pleasure to see that several volunteer placement companies operating in different countries will join us as partners. We are confident that this strategy will provide many opportunities to the younger generation throughout the world to visit and stay in Sri Lanka for a short period of up to 12 weeks.
