Women Empowerment
Most of the women living in rural villages are socially, economically and culturally isolated. They lack land rights and economic rights.
With the guidance of Nagenahiru Foundation they will be empowered with the fullest cooperation of volunteers working with them.
This will be achieved with the establishment and strengthening of a communal institutional mechanism for women living in rural villages to enable them to participate in their own development process.
Finally with the guidance of the Nagenahiru staff the volunteers will be able to strengthen the voice and capacity of the women living in rural villages and their community groups in the villages they served.
Her Agro-forestry Home Garden
Sri Lanka island nation located in the south of India equipped with a unique agricultural system “Kandyan Agroforestry Home Gardens” a traditional way of family farming near their domestic houses of their own. You too can contribute to the re-generation of such traditional agricultural methods that are falling out of use.
